Why I Teach What I Teach
Since I was a little kid, math has always been "my thing," and I enjoy getting others to like it, or at least not hate it so much.
Something People Might Not Know About Me
I am very lucky to be a 12-year (and counting) breast cancer survivor. To give back and show my gratitude for my survival, several of my good friends and I participate in several charity bike rides each year. One of my favorites is the 3-2-1 Ride, which benefits pancreatic cancer and melanoma research. I have done this ride over the past six years to honor my college friend who waged, but sadly lost, an incredibly brave five-year battle against pancreatic cancer. Last year, our team raised over $1,800 in her honor.
