About Partnerships
As part of the community in Allegheny County, CCAC has formed many partnerships with business to help enhance the education of community members. These partnerships allow students to come to CCAC to enhance their lives, better their education and provide them with tools to be successful.
Healthcare Careers Academy
The Community College of Allegheny County is partnering with the Jefferson Regional Foundation to empower students to increase their own economic mobility, and on a larger scale, improve the economic health of our region. The CCAC Healthcare Careers Academy is a two-week summer experience that is designed to expose 10th–12th grade students from the South Hills and Mon Valley areas to family-sustaining career options in health care, allowing them to discover that today's health care careers extend well beyond careers as physicians and nurses.

Student Spaceflight Experiments Program (SSEP)
The Community College of Allegheny County has been selected for the second year in a row to participate in the national Student Spaceflight Experiments Program (SSEP), which is sponsored in the U.S. by the National Center for Earth and Space Science Education and the Arthur C. Clark Institute for Space Education and, internationally, by the Arthur C. Clark Institute for Space Education. SSEP gives CCAC students the opportunity to gain real-world experience in how scientific research is done. In 2023, CCAC’s winning team conceptualized and designed an experiment centered around trying to understand how microgravity in space would affect a biological, chemical or physical system of interest; conducted background research and wrote proposals to gain access to resources; implemented the experimental design; analyzed the data and drew conclusions; and presented its findings. SSEP is truly an out-of-this-world experience.
