Transfer From Secondary CTC
CCAC, through the Perkins Career & Technical Education Grant, has established credit transfer (articulation) agreements that offer well-qualified Career & Technical high school graduates the opportunity to earn between three and 12 college credits for the programs they completed in high school.

- Complete a technical program of study at a participating Career & Technical Center (CTC) high school
- Achieve a minimum cumulative 2.75 grade point average on a 4.0 scale in technical courses
- Enroll in the same or a related CTE program at CCAC that they completed in high school
- Achieve "competent" or "advanced" on the secondary end-of-program assessment test (NOCTI)
- Achieve proficiency on all the tasks on the CTC program's approved Pennsylvania Department of Education competency task list as evaluated by the CTC technical instructor
Applying to CCAC
Eligible students may apply through CCAC's standard admissions process:
- Upon admission to CCAC, eligible students must meet with a CCAC academic advisor to schedule courses.
- If applying for a limited enrollment program, such as Nursing or an Allied Health program, eligible students must be separately accepted for admission into that program.
- Students will be required to take courses as determined by their CCAC placement test results.
- Students should review placement test exemptions prior to taking any placement tests.
When applying to the college, students must provide the following documentation to receive articulated credit:
- Official high school transcript that shows:
- Graduation from a technical program offered at a participating Career & Technical Center
- A cumulative grade point average of 2.75 or better on a 4.0 scale in technical courses
- Completed Pennsylvania Department of Education competency task list signed by the appropriate CTC technical instructor indicating that the student is proficient in all tasks
- Proof of achieving "competent" or "advanced" on the NOCTI exam (CTC's end-of-program assessment)
- Any earned industry credentials
Please be advised:
- Articulated courses and credits will not be listed on the student's transcript until at least one course has been successfully completed at CCAC.
- Articulated courses and credits will count toward graduation, but only CCAC credits will be calculated into a student's CCAC grade point average.
- In order to be eligible for articulated credit, a student must enroll at CCAC within 16 months after graduating from a Career and Technical Center.
- Alignment between CTC and CCAC programs—as well as the specific courses and number of credits to be articulated—is solely determined by CCAC faculty review of the CTC's program curriculum.
