Most Memorable CCAC Experience
A former student of mine stopped by my office to tell me that the skills and strategies they learned in my DVS 103 course helped them tremendously in their other courses. They proceeded to share how they were able to use the skills and strategies to understand a challenging and lengthy reading assignment, find academic sources for a research project, and set up a study plan for major exams.
Why I Teach What I Teach
I am passionate about teaching the Developmental Studies courses because I have an opportunity to teach students the necessary skills, strategies and resources to experience academic, professional and personal successes. It is rewarding to see students' confidence increase as they overcome challenges and experience successes.
Something People Might Not Know About Me
I'm a first generation college student.
