CCAC Phi Theta Kappa Chapter Advisors Receive National Recognition

Don Breitbarth, CCAC academic advisor, and Gaina Miklusko, CCAC student engagement specialist, were recently recognized by the national office of Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) for years of exemplary service as advisors of the CCAC Alpha Mu Theta chapter.
"I have had the distinct honor and pleasure of observing these two professionals encouraging, guiding and mentoring these student leaders. It is truly impressive and admirable to witness the passion and the dedication they consistently exhibit to these students," said Dr. Evon Walters, CCAC Northeast Region president.
The Phi Theta Kappa national office traditionally acknowledges advisors across the country who provide years of service to these dynamic and academically accomplished student leaders. Mr. Breitbarth is being recognized for 5 years of service, while Ms. Miklusko is being recognized for 15 years of service.
"I'm endlessly impressed and inspired by our students. Their scholarship, idealism, and passion are contagious. I love working with them. It's reassuring to know they will be our future leaders. The least I can do is nurture them a little along the way," said Don Breitbarth.
"It has been an honor and a privilege to work with the PTK students over the years. I think my own professional growth has come from learning from them. I am so thankful for the opportunity," said Gaina Miklusko
