First CCAC Graduate From BNY Mellon Early College High School Program Recognized at Baldwin High School
Madison Benedict, a senior at Baldwin High School, graduated from CCAC with a Supervision & Leadership certificate, just ahead of her high school graduation. She was recognized during an event at Baldwin High School as the first graduate from among the 188 students at 26 Allegheny County schools participating in the BNY Mellon Early College High School Program at CCAC. There are currently 31 students in the program at Baldwin High School. CCAC and high school administrators, the Early College program student participants and their families attended the event.
CCAC and City College of New York were the two colleges selected to receive the targeted funding from BNY Mellon. The program aims to give high school students from underrepresented groups and underserved populations the opportunity to earn credit toward a specialized certification or an associate and/or bachelor's degree in the areas of accounting, business management or computer information technology.
