Most Memorable CCAC Experience
The nursing pinning ceremony symbolizes the culmination of the challenging, intense education needed for role transition into professional nursing. Since 1983, I have had the pleasure to attend every nursing pinning ceremony for graduates of South Campus. It has been an honor to place the nursing pin on many graduates. To see the happiness of students having achieved college success and the promise of an exciting career has brought joy to all the nursing faculty.
Why I Teach What I Teach
I have always wanted to be a teacher. Teaching nursing includes didactic as well as hands-on instruction. Clinical expertise is vital, and keeping high standards is essential. Many times, students wonder why nursing is so hard. Well...one day, a CCAC nursing graduate will be taking care of me! And I will be confident to say, "You know what to do. You know what I need. You will provide expert care."
Something People Might Not Know About Me
I have played the piano since I was 7 years old! And if you don't know already, I love M&M's and OREO's.
