Why Anesthesia Technology?

Anesthesia technicians are vital members of the anesthesia care team. They assist with the preparation of equipment and medication required for the delivery of anesthesia care to patients who are in chronic pain or undergoing surgery.

Students enrolled in this associate degree program are prepared for entry-level work under the supervision of an anesthesia provider in a variety of clinical settings that include hospital operating rooms; interventional and diagnostic radiology, labor and delivery units; intensive care units; emergency rooms; outpatient procedure suites; and ambulatory surgery centers.
