PublicSource Features Guns Down, Level Up Program

The online publication, PublicSource, recently highlighted CCAC's Guns Down, Level Up program. This program, designed to help prevent and respond to the impact of gun violence, launched in the fall of 2022 with more than 50 students participating. Students in the program are offered free therapy through Allegheny Health Network and meet with success coaches weekly. For those enrolled in for-credit CCAC programs, the college covers tuition and educational costs that are not covered by financial aid. CCAC was the only college in Allegheny County to receive funding from the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency.
