About Continuing Legal Education
The Supreme Court of Pennsylvania in 1997 set standards for continuing legal education programs, establishing minimum requirements for training in the areas of professional competence and ethical behavior. Attorneys must accumulate 12 credit hours of instruction annually—10 substantive credit hours and two ethics credit hours. The Community College of Allegheny County offers classes three times each year, so you can schedule your coursework when it's convenient for you.
