About Insurance Career Opportunities
The insurance field is looking for bright graduates for immediate employment with great starting salaries and unlimited income potential. In just eight weeks, you can be on your way to passing the Pennsylvania Insurance Licensing exam and a brand-new career. Currently, the insurance industry employs more than 3 million people, and the industry will create more than 400,000 jobs by 2020. Employment opportunities are available with major insurance companies and agencies for positions as customer service representatives, account managers and sales agents, along with other positions. CCAC offers two certificate programs to get you on the road to a dynamic and rewarding professional career.
Life, Accident & Health Insurance Career Preparation
This course will cover insurance regulations; general insurance; life, accident and health insurance basics; and an overview of the various types of insurance policies and coverage options needed by the public. Students who successfully complete this program and pass the Pennsylvania Insurance Licensing exam will be prepared to assist individuals and businesses in life, health and retirement planning.
Property & Casualty Insurance Career Preparation
This course will cover insurance regulations, general insurance, property and casualty insurance basics, and an overview of the various types of insurance policies and coverage options needed by the public. Students who successfully complete this program and pass the Pennsylvania Insurance Licensing exam will be prepared to assist individuals and businesses in managing their property and casualty exposures.
Course Duration & Location
The Property & Casualty class will be held at West Hills Center starting Oct. 22 and will run for three consecutive Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The Life, Accident & Health class will be held at CCAC South Campus starting Nov. 8 and will run for three consecutive Tuesdays from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The cost is $529. Book and study materials are included.
A minimum of 10 students are needed to conduct each of these classes.
